Lake Nakuru 3 Days Safari from Nairobi takes you to Lake Nakuru National Park – a home to a million flamingoes and a wide variety of other bird life as well as many animals including lion, leopard, buffalo, waterbuck, giraffe, impala, warthog, white rhino and the endangered black rhino. Accommodations are either at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Sarova Lion Hill Lodge set high above the Lake with beautiful views over the National Park.

Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake famous for its flamingo population estimated to be more than a million hence it is referred to as the ‘Birds Paradise’ by bird watchers and the rhino population.

Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park

Depart from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. After lunch will enjoy an evening game drive to see the huge numbers of flamingo which are concentrated along the lake shore.

In addition to the bird life for which Nakuru is so well known there are many different wildlife species in the park including lion, leopard, Black rhino, White rhino, buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, zebra, impala and waterbuck. Overnight at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge

Day 2: Explore Lake Nakuru National Park

An early morning game drive before breakfast to try to find leopard which are frequently sighted in Lake Nakuru Park and return to the lodge for breakfast.

After breakfast you will take a further drive to seek out the 2 species of rhino found in the park, returning before lunch. The afternoon is at leisure, relaxing by the lodge swimming pool before an evening game drive in the park. Overnight at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge

Day 3: Lake Nakuru – Drive to Nairobi

Early morning game drive and after breakfast transfer by road back to Nairobi.
